The resort is located at the top of the estate, in proximity to the Poderi San Pio and Loreto, and offers an excellent panoramic view. The site is rich in history; here, in the Middle Ages, stood a small fortified settlement which protected the main lines of communication, the Via Francigena and the Via dei Papi [the Popes’ Way]. The latter, passing through the Orcia river, served as a connection between Bagno Vignoni and the Abbey of Sant’Antimo.
